Abstract

The authors regret the error pertaining to the classification of rural hospitals in the article. The article instead refers to hospitals in Pennsylvania's rural counties. The Center for Rural Pennsylvania, based on the 2020 census, designates a county rural when the number of people per square mile within the county is fewer than 291. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
