Abstract

This chapter aims to understand the stratigraphy in Cueva de la Cocina, and more specifically the interventions made by Pericot in 1941 and 1945. To do this, we will use the set of radiocarbon dating available for these interventions on which different chronological models will be elaborated using Bayesian statistics. Finally, on the results of the chronological modeling, the Mesolithic occupation of the cave along the recent Mesolithic (archaeological entity known as Geological Mesolithic) is emphasized, highlighting the different cultural phases (Geometric A and B) and their chronological ranges.
