Abstract

Ferrimagnetic resonance linewidths were measured as a function of angle θ from a [100] axis in a (110) plane for an yttrium iron garnet sample doped with 0.1 at.%Ho. Near the [100] and [110] directions the linewidth has a single peak at 4.2°K which becomes a double peak at 27°and 77°K, as predicted by Sparks.
