Abstract

This paper details how, as part of their regular course work, two sophomore mechanical engineering technology (MET) students became actively involved in the development of a company's first product. Descriptions are given of the company and its product; of the regional industrial incubator center, which provided assistance to the company; of the technical work performed by the students; and of the procedure used to integrate the students' industrial experience into Penn State's MET curriculum.
