Abstract
The radial Hele-Shaw experiment with constant-flux boundary conditions is considered. Our results suggest that substantial differences may exist between the final morphologies associated with constant-flux and constant-pressure boundary conditions. In addition, we show that arguments based on an extended linear analysis to motivate the dense-branching morphology in the constant-pressure case do not lead to a compact structure for the constant-flux case.
