Abstract

The results obtained from this study serve as preliminary steps towards the development of guidelines that can aid a designer in the development of multipurpose products. These insights will be combined with customer surveys in future to form a more comprehensive design method. Novice designers might be able to apply this design method for the structured design of creative multi-purpose products.
