Abstract
High-Strength low-alloy (HSLA) cast steels have been developed with excellent strength, toughness and weldability similar to the widely used wrought HSLA steels. A wide range of useful properties can be obtained for HSLA cast steels, in both thin and heavy section sizes, by careful control of chemical composition and heat treatment. Applications include structural nodes for offshore platforms, centrifugal cast pipe, and other diverse structural applications. (A)
