Abstract

A multi-purpose, small scale logging system has been designed, built and field tested. The system comprises a 12 HP hydraulically operated, two-drum yarder and an 18 ft. lightweight tubular steel tower. It may be rigged as a simple yarding winch, as a highlead system with haulback, or as a standing skyline with a locking carriage.
