Abstract
Fournier’s gangrene is a necrotizing infection of the genitals that requires emergent management with broad-spectrum antibiotics, aggressive surgical debridement, and appropriate supportive care for an often septic patient. This chapter discusses the diagnosis and management of Fournier’s gangrene with discussion of antibiotic choice and decision-making surrounding urinary and fecal diversion.
