Abstract

A pyrochlore with the composition Pb1.83Nb1.71Mg0.29O6.39 was fabricated and found to belong to the anion deficient structural family of pyrochlores having space group Fd3m with a lattice parameter a = 10.5988 A ̊. A room temperature dielectric constant of 130 with an anomalous peak near 20 K due to a relaxation phenomenon were as observed.
