Abstract
An audio modulating electric field is applied to a small section at one end of a relatively long optical fiber. When a He‐He laser beam is guided through the optical fiber, the lightwaves are directly modulated by the modulating electric field and detected at the other end of the fiber. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
