abstract = "An efficient discontinuous Galerkin time domain (DGTD) method is presented to analyze the electromagnetic scattering from periodic structures with dispersive components. The time domain periodic boundary conditions are implemented in the DGTD method by introducing transformed field variables. The method is applied to the Drude dispersive media model using an auxiliary differential equation (ADE) approach. Numerical analysis of a dual-band infrared absorber is shown to validate the proposed method.",
