Abstract

Disruptive Behavior Disorders, including oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and conduct disorder (CD), are common among children and adolescents. These difficulties often emerge early in childhood, and left untreated may worsen over time. This article describes methods for the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with disruptive behavior disorders. A number of exemplar treatment programs are reviewed, and opportunities for future research are discussed.
