Abstract
A case of an acute and reperfused myocardial infarction with two scarcely observed tachycardias is presented: one of them with a narrow QRS (atrial tachycardia) and the other one with wide QRS (ventricular tachycardia). Both tachycardias showed similar cycle lengths configuring a tachycardia with fused beats. This situation implies atrioventricular dissociation and diagnosis of ventricular tachycardia. An explanation on why this phenomenon take place and its potential electrophysiological mechanism are provided.
