Abstract
Drive voltage dependence of electromechanical resonance has been investigated in PLZT piezoelectric ceramics. With increasing the ac drive voltage, some electromechanical parameters change remarkably: the resonance frequency fmdecreases, the anti-resonance frequency fndoes not shift, the mechanical quality factor Qmdecreases drastically, and the electromechanical coupling factor krincreases. On the contrary, these parameters do not change significantly with changing the dc bias voltage, keeping the ac voltage amplitude. The changes in the parameters can be computer-simulated theoretically by introducing non-linear capacitive and resisitive terms into an electrical equivalent circuit.
