Dual-polarization and dual-frequency radar scattering from ice crystals

    Abstract

    Dual-polarization and dual-frequency radar observables are simulated at 3, 35, and 94 GHz frequencies for remote sensing of clouds. Their use in ice crystal classification, ice water content and particle size estimation are evaluated.
