Abstract

The dynamic measurement of hydrogen storage/release properties using tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) for Mg doped with nano-sized Pd catalyst was presented. TEOM provided a dynamic, and more accurate information on the hydrogen absorption and release kinetics than the volumetric method or gravimetric methods, which is important for the design of next-generation high-performance hydrogen storage materials and for the proper design of hydrogen storage devices in practical application. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 227th ACS National Meeting (Anaheim, CA 3/28/2004-4/1/2004).
