Abstract
Samarium and manganese modified lead titanate thin films were fabricated by a sol-gel method using acetic acid with n-propanol, and acetylacetone with 2-methoxyethanol as two different sets of solvents. The thin films were annealed at different temperatures of 700, 800, 850, and 900°C for 1 h. Variation of dielectric constant, dielectric loss, remanent polarization, and coercive field parameters were studied as a function of annealing temperature for the films processed from the two different solvent systems.
