    Abstract

Using a commercially available picosecond laser, tests were conducted to compare the drilling performance of each wavelength through metals. Experiments were performed to measure and compare conventional percussion drilling performance with the double pulse machining method. The quality of the hole is considered along with drilling rate to measure the performance of the double pulse format.
