Abstract
The effect of the surface area of CeO 2 support on the physicochemical properties and catalytic activities of Ni-Rh/CeO 2 catalysts was studied for the oxidative steam reforming of bio-ethanol. Ni-Rh catalysts supported on a series of CeO 2 supports having different BET surface areas were prepared. The catalyst loaded on high-surface-area supports showed better performance. The higher surface area of the support contributed to the improved metal dispersion, better metal-support interaction and improved reducibility.
