Abstract

The electro-optic control of the superprism effect in photonic crystals (PC) was discussed. Large shifts in propagation direction through the superprism effect could be explained by the examination of the highly anisotropic dispersion surface found in PC. Modification of the band structure by the electro-optic effect could be used to modulate conductive properties of a PC.
