Electrolyzed oxidizing water technology

Abstract

Researchers shared their views regarding the significance of electrolyzed oxidized (EO) water technology in minimizing the effects of contaminated water in the US. EO water is produced by the electrolysis of soft tap water containing common salt sodium chloride ((NaCl) when the relatively weak NaCl solution is passed through an electrolysis chamber in which the anode and cathode are connected to a high-current DC power supply and separated by a membrane. The solution is allowed to dissociate into two streams during electrolysis, such as acidic EO water and alkaline EO water. Three types of EO water can be produced by electrolysis, which are known commercially as the catholyte, the anolyte, and neutral EO water. EO water offers an effective solution for the inactivation of microorganisms, and it is user-friendly and environmentally friendly. The on-site production process requires only tap water, electricity, and table salt, which eliminates the potential hazards and costs of chemical transportation and storage.
