Abstract

Paper reviews the development of electronic ceramics in the US and Japan. Special attention is paid to dielectric ceramics (relaxors), MLC capacitors, preparation of dielectric powders (hydrothermal barium titanate), microwave dielectric filters, piezoelectric ceramics (lead zirconate titanate ceramics), development of new fabrication methods (injection molding, chemical synthesis methods, hydrothermal synthesis), ferroelectric thin films, semiconductor NVMs.
