Abstract
We address two fundamental questions concerning the repulsion-induced pairing mechanism of Chakravarty et al. for superconductivity in alkali-metal-doped fullerenes: (1) How does repulsion at an atomic scale result in attraction on a molecular scale? (2) What role, if any, do unusual correction effects (e.g., spin-charge separation) play in this scenario?
