Abstract

The electrospinning method is used for the generation of nano-scale cellulose fibers. Recently, the electrospinning has attracted a great deal of attention as a means of producing non-woven membranes of nanofibers due to its simple methodology and the advent of nano applications. In this study, the optimal experimental conditions for fiber generation were studied for both the cellulose with SWNT and the pure cellulose fibers. Parametric studies were conducted to find an optimum condition of electrospinning method. Various ways of reducing surface tension to promote electrospinning were investigated, including convective heating of the solution. The environmental conditions were carefully monitored and adjusted due to the highly sensitive nature of the solution.
