Abstract

The development of energy conservation and environmental protection course and effectiveness of active learning components for non-science/engineering students is discussed. The course will provide students with information on the main operating principles of devices such as washers, dryers and ovens. The course will also educate students about energy efficiency inorder to allow them to save energy and therby protecting the environment. It will also provide energy related information on insulation, doors and windows and air conditioning principles.
