Enhancing Power System Stability Using an Emotional-Based Intelligent Controller

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

This study explores the use of an emotional-based controller for transient stability and voltage regulation in a power system. The design of the controller draws inspiration from the emotional reactions observed in the human brain. The performance of the closed-loop controller is evaluated under both standard and faulty power system conditions. The robustness of the proposed controller is demonstrated through hardware-in-the-loop implementation and MATLAB/Simulink simulations. The findings confirm the superior performance of the controller under consideration.
