Abstract

A framework for understanding the effect of various sources of uncertainty in the National Airspace System has been created and populated with data from various past efforts to quantify such sources. This framework identifies the specific agent functions in the NAS that are affected by these uncertainties and indicates their interactions. In addition, the effort has produced a comprehensive library of sources of uncertainty that can be used in future simulation efforts.
