Abstract

1. We have shown that allyl chloride can be epoxidized by molecular oxygen as a result of combined oxidation with ethylbenzene over a catalyst system composed of LGC-MnCl2 and LGC-MoCl5. 2. We have shown that LGC containing Mo, W, and Mn chlorides catalyze the epoxidization of allyl chloride by tert-butyl and ethylbenzene hydroperoxides.
