Abstract

The measurement of the light transmitted through the systems as a function of T at different constant cooling or heating rates q has proven very useful for the investigation of phase equilibria in the case of systems that contain crystallizable polymers. For PEO it is demonstrated that equilibrium melting temperature sare experimentally accessible in contrast to general belief. To which extent this statement also holds true for polymers of a complex structure requires further experiments.
