Abstract
Pressure and temperature effects on the liquid-phase hydrogenation of benzene over W-Ni-Pd/(Al 2 O 3 -TiO 2 ) and W-Ni/(Al 2 O 3 -TiO 2 ) catalysts were evaluated. Experimental runs were conducted using a tubular packed bed reactor Operated within a pressure range of 400 to 700 psi, and a temperature range of 320 to 350°C. Experimental results showed that the conversion increases with an increase in pressure and in temperature. Besides, an activity increase is observed with Pd promoted catalyst.
