Abstract
The paper reports on a study to investigate the content and the extent of program evaluation for quality circle programs. A survey of 500 companies revealed: There was no obvious trend of methodology in measurement of the effects of quality circle programs in the workplace; A large percentage of companies collect no information on their quality circle programs; and A sizable number of respondents have no measures of productivity or job quality in place at all.
