Event-Related Potentials: Slow Potentials

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The electroencephalography (EEG) in humans was first demonstrated by Hans Berger in the 1920s. Later, researchers have examined time-locked EEG segments in relation to particular stimuli. Various EEG measures including evoke-related potential (ERP), Bereitschaftpotentials (BP), and lateralized readiness potential (LRP) that have focused on motor- and cognitive-related activities were illustrated. Alteration of ERP, BP, and LRP in patients with movement disorders has been documented in numerous studies.
