Abstract

The work reported is part of a program on flaw detection in turbine rotor components. The goal is to image or map non-surface breaking fatigue cracks near the bore hole surface of an aircraft engine disk with the aid of ultrasonic inversion techniques. Presented are results of inversion of both pitch-catch and pulse-echo data with the inversion technique discussed in detail in the companion paper.
