Abstract

We present a design methodology for state estimation of nonlinear stochastic systems and measurements models with colored noise processes. The method is based on extension of deterministic variable structure observer schemes. The proposed estimator is used in the design of a dynamic feedback controller to minimize the effect of colored noises. The deterministic versions of these results are also included.
