Abstract
This report illustrates F-18 FDG PET/CT findings in primary gastric small cell carcinoma, an extremely rare and aggressive malignancy. There are similarities in its clinical behavior and response to chemotherapy with that of pulmonary small cell carcinoma. This case provides further support for this similarity by demonstrating intensely avid F-18 FDG uptake in the viable gastric small cell carcinoma and its metastases.
