Abstract
The ordered voids in a colloidal crystal film-gold substrate system were fabricated. The organic liquid patterns were used as templates in the fabrication. It was found that by adjusting the concentration of colloidal solution used to deposit spheres on the patterned gold substrates, the thickness of the resulting films and the final microstructures formed within them were also controlled.
