Abstract
To date, a variety of materials have been microwave sintered to full density. The microwaved products have equal and better properties when compared with the conventionally sintered materials. In one study, some highly transparent ceramic samples including Al4O3, spinel (MgAl2O4), AlN and aluminum oxynitride (ALON) were successfully fabricated by a microwave sintering process starting with commercial ceramic powders.
