Abstract

With the aid of computer modeling, five alternative systems were studied to heat a 13,000 square meter greenhouse with the use of electrical power plant waste heat. All systems provided a considerable savings of energy when compared to conventional heating. Economic evaluation predicted three of the systems could provide savings with a favorable pay-off of the increased capital investment. Refs.
