Abstract

Results of feasibility study of a subsurface latent heat storage for greenhouse heating are presented in this paper. For greenhouse without insulation curtains, the phase change storage media can supply 37% of annual heating demand. This fraction can be as high as 80% for an insulated greenhouse. Preliminary financial analysis indicates that installed cost of latent heat storage subsystem is high.
