Abstract
Magnetic susceptibility of **3He adsorbed on sintered silver powders has been measured by a SQUID magnetometer at various film thicknesses as a function of temperature. The susceptibility obeys the Curie law up to the thickness of about 5 atomic layers, and for thicker films it shows ferromagnetic behavior with the Weiss temperature of approximately 0. 3 mK.
