Abstract

Small angle neutron scattering (SANS) was used to study the flux line lattice (FLL) in LuNi₂B₂C and ErNi₂B₂C with the applied magnetic field along the a axis. A sharp reorientation transition accompanied by changes in both the FLL anisotropy and the upper critical field bc-plane anisotropy was observed.
