Fractionally Quantized Topological Nonlinear Thouless Pumping of Solitons

Abstract

We theoretically predict and experimentally observe that nonlinearity can act to fractionally quantize the motion of solitons in photonic Thouless pumps. Such fractionalization is unique to the nonlinear regime.
