Abstract

During the past year, significant advances have been made in our understanding of stomatal development and its response to climate change, and in our knowledge of how guard cell Ca²⁺ oscillations encode environmental signals. Recent studies on (de)phosphorylation mechanisms have provided new information on how guard cells respond to abscisic acid and blue light.
