Abstract

Polymeric photorefractive materials are emerging as attractive media for optical devices and processing systems. This review summarizes our recent effort in the area of fully functionalized photorefractive polymers based on transition metal complexes as photosensitizers. High performance photorefractive polymers were obtained due to the unique photophysical properties of transition metal complexes. The correlation between molecular structure and physical properties is the focal point of this paper.
