Abstract
Application of bubble column technology in fine particle flocculation is a relatively new development. The benefits of this technology are presented and discussed. Preliminary tracer studies show that both rapid and quiescent mixing zones are combined in a properly designed and operated bubble column. Preliminary flocculation results in a 0.064 m x 1.8 m bubble column are presented and discussed.
