Abstract

Tinea corporis, or "ringworm," is the term used for a dermatophyte infection of the glabrous skin trunk, legs or arms. Tinea cruris, or "jock itch," is the term used for dermatophyte infection of the groin, thighs, or perineal region. Tinea pedis, or "athlete's foot" is the term used for dermatophyte infection of the feet.
