Abstract

The problem of early detection of chemical vapors and biological aerosols is supported by the use of ground sensor networks and wide area information fusion. In this paper we outline a process by which ground sensor networks provide early detection as well as critical environmental information necessary to support models for prediction of the plume movement. These sensor networks can operate outdoors on the battlefield, in urban areas, even inside buildings to assist in real-time evacuation and mitigation procedures. The evacuation scenarios can be practically limited and automated using information fusion and agent employing continuous inference fkzy logic networks.
