Abstract

A blade-pitch angle control technique based on fuzzy-logic formulation is presented in this article. The technique takes advantage of fuzzy-linguistic modeling in expressing the natural non-linearity or imprecision of the wind-turbine system model in designing the pitch control for speed/power regulation. Performance of the pitch control design method is demonstrated on a simulated autonomous DC generating unit connected to a variable load.
