Abstract

In this paper, we study the high-harmonic optical vortex (OV) generation from an α-Si photonic crystal (PhC) slab supporting the guided resonance associated with bound states in the continuum (BICs). We show that the topological charge of the nth-harmonic OV beams is determined by both the polarization charge of the BIC and the circular polarization state of the nth-harmonic signal relative to that of the fundamental waves.
